Discover Exciting Spring Adventures in New Smyrna Beach at Ocean Walk Rentals

Florida is home to more natural springs than any other state in the country. Many of them are open to the public, giving you a chance to swim, snorkel, or tube in crystal clear pristine water. The Florida springs remain around 72 degrees all year long and are a popular place for people to cool off during the warmer months. Try to visit at least one spring while in the New Smyrna Beach area. It’s an adventure that you will not want to miss!

Embrace the Vibrant Spirit of Spring in New Smyrna Beach

Blue Spring State Park – Located only 30 minutes away, this is a great spring to visit all year. In this beautiful spring, you can swim, snorkel, and float during the warmer months. During the winter, the spring area is closed to swimming because it fills up with manatees seeking refuge. On a cold winter morning, hundreds of them gather in the spring.

DeLeon Springs State Park – This spring is enclosed, so it’s more like a big swimming pool with a flow of natural spring water. You can swim any time of the year in this beautiful spring and take an eco-boat tour on the river. There’s also a pancake restaurant at the spring, allowing you to make pancakes at your table. There’s usually a waitlist for the restaurant, so get your name in as soon as you arrive.

Wekiwa Springs State Park – Around 45 minutes away, you will find this beautiful spring open all year long. Take a dip to cool off and snorkel over the spring head. They also offer kayak rentals and hiking opportunities.

Alexander Springs – This spring is around an hour away but worth the drive. It looks like something from a postcard picture. There’s plenty of shallow water this spring, so it’s family-friendly, but there are also deeper water swimming options. You can tube, snorkel, or hang out.

Kings Landing – If you want an adventure that will put you near spring water, to which you must paddle back, check out Kings Landing. You will rent a kayak and paddle back to Emerald Cut, where you can park off to the side, get out, and swim around the pristine water. This is a popular thing to do, so reserve your kayak ahead of time.
